Clinical Expertise

I have significant experience as a Consultant Nurse with a strong and well-established background in Acute Medicine with a sub-speciality interest in Frailty, bringing a depth of clinical expertise to complex and fast-paced care environments. Over the course of my career, I have also developed extensive experience in “front door” services, where rapid assessment, decision-making, and patient flow are critical.

 

I have worked in the Emergency Department, as a Consultant Practitioner, spanning a wide range of clinical areas, including Medical Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), Frailty, Streaming/Rapid Assessment, Minors, Majors, General Practice, and the Resuscitation unit.

More recently I have been interested in community frailty and end of life care, particuarly focusing on risk based decision making and goal concordant care.

This breadth of experience has equipped me with advanced skills in managing undifferentiated patients, prioritising care in high-pressure situations, and leading within multidisciplinary teams.
